Dan J. Berger (pronounced Don) is an Israeli-American author and entrepreneur.He is the author of The Quest: The Definitive Guide to Finding Belonging (ForbesBooks), a no-nonsense guide that helps people find their sense of belonging.He is the Founder and CEO of Assemble Hospitality Group, a boutique lodging concept for corporate retreats and offsites. Its flagship location is in Boise, ID.Previously, Dan was the Founder and former CEO of Social Tables, which was acquired in 2018 by Blackstone-owned Cvent (prev.. $CVT) for $100mm.Founded in 2011, Social Tables was an event design software company. The award-winning platform has been used to organize millions of events annually.At the time of sale, the company had $20M in recurring revenue, 120 employees, and over 6,000 customers. Backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, amongst others, Social Tables raised $26M through a Series B. Dan has been the recipient of many hospitality industry accolades, including the Pacesetter Award from the Events Industry Council.In the wake of the October 7 attack in Israel, Dan started the Idaho Israel Alliance, a nonprofit that fights antisemitism in Idaho. He has been an active member of YPO since 2014.Prior to Social Tables, Dan worked in management consulting, served a Member of Congress, and ran a boutique web design agency.Dan has a BA from CUNY Hunter ('04) and an MBA from Georgetown ('08). His hobbies include reef keeping, running, and gaming. He lives in Boise with his wife, Jen.
