Coordinate and conduct activities to meet the environmental needs of Region Two and administer UDOT's responsibilities under State and Federal law, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), in accordance with UDOT's policies and processes. The Region Environmental Manager provides support for the Region Two preconstruction, construction, and maintenance divisions and is required to have working knowledge of a variety of environmental resources (e.g. cultural, wildlife, wetlands, air, and noise). Principle Duties:Identify potentially affected resources.Perform impact analysis and prepare supporting documentation.Identify and acquire appropriate environmental permits.Prepare and review Categorical Exclusions and State Environmental Studies.Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and provide oversight of staff specialists and/or consultants.

Responsible for providing environmental clearances for wetlands, stream impacts, stream alteration permits for all transportation projects. Administer erosion control plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and inspections on all construction and maintenance projects within Regions 2 & 3. Develop landscape and aesthetics plans as required by the various projects. Work with Project Managers, Designers, Construction and Maintenance inspectors to ensure UDOT projects are in compliance with various state and federal environmental requirements. Complete wetland delineations , 404 permits and mitigation plans required on transportation projects. Manage and monitor all wetland mitigation sites within Region 2 and 3 until each site has met the required success criteria established by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
