The company has since grown to four hundred people and was acquired in late 2009 by Electronic Arts for $400 million.As Common Technology Lead I was responsible for the shared technology built into all of Playfish’s games. Covering back-end (Java) and front-end (Flash, JavaScript), this technology sits at the core of fifteen live titles, supporting innovative social features and a massively scalable architecture. A core team of six senior engineers identified new features, carried out research and development and facilitated an open source development movement involving around eighty developers across seven locations worldwide.• Formerly led Multi-Platform Technology team, bringing social gaming to novel platforms, including iPhone, Android and Adobe AIR-based desktop releases.• Worked closely with leading third party social networking partners, including Facebook, Google and MySpace. Involved in technical design and implementation of third-party APIs including Facebook Connect for iPhone, Facebook Connect for Android (supervised first implementation of the library on this platform) and Google's Android API.Softography:• Pet Society - Lead Developer and Designer.
