Headhunted in 1996 to take over the department manager responsibility of the Merchandising Services department within the danish branch of worldwide ACNielsen research agency. After successfully developing this department, promoted in 1999 to Director for the whole business area Retail Measurement, which included the Merchandising Services department. P/L responsible for managing/coaching 35 employees and Nordic large account responsibility for the BTC-segment (beverages, tobacco and confectionary).

Following the trainee period at Dansk Supermarked Group, placed in the sales department of the supermarket chain Føtex. Worked with the development of instore solutions, optimization of floor/shelf space, space/category management and the development of the organization/systems supporting growth, at a time where Føtex was one of the fastest growing players in the danish retail market.
