As consultant to Asset Science, the mandate was to productize the companies prototype technologies, as well as re-architect the technology to become scalable and mission-critical. Additionally, existing and new clients were empowered with a new web-based client-portal providing self-serve autonomy. Additionally, enforcing privacy and security taking into considerations GPDR. New initiatives of development and integration of Industrial Robotics for mobile device diagnostics. This required a reorganization and hiring of a highly-skilled development team and modernization of the foundation development environment. A Patent was registered in August 2018, on behalf of Asset Science by myself and a senior inventor.Finally, working with R&D Tax firms, elevated the federal and provincial tax-refunds by 600% within a 2 year period.

The sale of MobilityGo to InterCore introduced our team to many new challenges as well as maintenance of MobilityGo’s existing IP such as PlusTables. Continuing as CTO within InterCore we pioneered InterCore’s premiere product referred to as DADS (Driver Alertness Detection System) which is a compact hardware unit mounted on industrial and commercial vehicle’s dashboard with a driver facing infrared camera. Using computer-vision for facial and eye/pupil motion detection to detect alertness / fatigue of the driver long before the driver is aware, including telemetry for secure cloud-based fleet management.

MobilityGo developed 43 custom Apps & Integrated Cloud Solutions for iPhone, Android and Tablets within a period of 3.5 years (42 months). The original partners/co-founders of MobilityGo were comprised of a senior development team that had worked together for many years in the previous companies (from 1990 onwards).
MobilityGo was one of the first Mobile Development companies in Canada in 2010. Coordination was paramount to sell and develop the technology within 42 months, requiring coordination of project proposals, UX designs, experienced development and quality assurance teams working in parallel to achieve these objectives.Pioneering solutions were developed for many industries including; PlusTables for Hospitality, Home Inspection, Remote Medical apps for remote Nurses, Pharmaceutical Solutions, Legal Solutions, several Education and Entertainment Apps.After 3.5 years and significant development of IP, MobilityGo Sold to InterCore (ICOR a public company, see next company). This successful negotiation resulted in a significant exit of both cash and equity.

Mecanica, in 2005 was a successful engineering services provider for Aerospace and Automotive sector with more than 1000 satisfied clients served including well known names such as Ferrari engineering team to Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney and Boeing. The mandate was to work with the president to establish a new business unit for product development to capture the 25 years of engineering knowledge within a new world-class engineering and manufacturing product to be developed, initially named PLM360, (Product Lifecycle Management).International research partnerships were established with leaders in Graz, Austria with the Virtual Vehicle Center (V2C2.at), Magna Steyr, Siemens, AVL and the Technical University of Graz (TU Graz), as well as local partnership with Concordia University, ETS University and the Computer Research Institute of Montreal (CRIM.ca) as well as a private Canadian organization named Technology Evaluation Centers (TEC). We created a Canadian Research Consortium dedicated to the research and development of the new product PLM360 which raised $42 Million of Tax-Credits for Mecanica and TEC. Collaboratively, seventeen whitepapers were published at international engineering conferences and one hardcover book entitled “The Future of Product Development”.PLM360 was built upon a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence related system of semantic-network and ontologies with concepts to uniquely identify every item of an engineering part, process, cost, meta-data as a KRL (Knowledge Resource Locator similar to a URL). Components were comprised of a 3D interactive visualization system providing a Digital Mock-Up (DMU), Universal Part Data Management system (PDM) which could integrate with 3rd party PDMs like Dassault Systems or Pro-E, Workflow Process and Document Management, Collaborative Distributed Project Management systems.

The sale of TechnoCandy to TEC included the custom web-harvesting technology. Responsible for “special projects”, including the development of distributed grid-computing technology which stealthily distributed harvesting jobs to 100+ employee connected computers to recover the under-utilized CPU cycles while their computers were in screen-saver mode. Basically, 16/24 hours a day, the remote computers would perform coordinated internet data-gathering jobs and collect data into a centralized repository for analysis.

As president, I was responsible for strategic business planning, attracting private investors, managing outbound sales call-center and new product development and team.TechnoCandy had developed a unique non-invasive graphical-digital-fingerprint technology integrated with automated web-crawlers, and created customized vertical deep-knowledge search engines, (as apposed to horizontal thin-knowledge search-engines like Yahoo). TechnoCandy offered solutions for businesses to protect their investment in digital multi-media creative works over the internet. After 5 years exactly, made decision to return to my passion for creating technology, resulting in the sale of TechnoCandy to TEC (amalgamation) for exchange of private shares, (See next company).

Responsible for the development of Karaoke and home-entertainment multi-media software and music over the internet. Creative efforts in real-time digital signal processing using software Fast-Fourier-Transformations to replace hardware DSP for effects to automatically generate background vocals and perform live pitch-correction while a person is singing. Finally, technology to create an audio-digital-fingerprint to uniquely identify music was created.

Focused on the development of Command & Control Centres, Outage Management Systems and Emergency Computer Aided Dispatch technologies. Responsible for several products and development teams. Some creative enabling technologies were multi-screen drivers for Windows & OS/2 for an almost unlimited desktop, achieving 84 high-resolutions screens presented as one giant display, (Achieved Guinness Book of Records for Japan Traffic Control). Generation of Interactive and Real-time “One-Line” Schematic tree-diagrams of the distribution of electricity from sub-stations through the network distribution equipment to consumer end-points. Global product distribution to US, UK, Europe, Asia, Central-America.

Worked in Europe for 18/33 months to develop customized solutions for our various life insurance clients, primarily Prudential of España, and Italia. One creative technology I developed was a power-point type presentation software (years before MS PowerPoint) used by sales executives to deliver interactive financial forecasts in a graphical presentation format on laptops.

Developed several graphics engine components in 80x86 assembler and Lattice C. An advanced 3D CAD graphics engine with lighting and perspective, used for visually modelling bathrooms, kitchens & cabinets, enabling full preview of the room before its construction. The engine also generated scaled orthogonal views with dimensions, used as blue-prints. Also developed was a graphical windowing system (years before MS Windows) to create an integrated look & feel for the accompanying database inventory & accounting products which were developed in COBOL utilizing Assembly (Machine) Language with DOS Interrupt 21 & 33 multitasking.

Responsible for maintaining a college computer lab, as well as developing custom software solutions and providing tutorials to groups of students on the basics of software development of the Pascal programming language.
