I’m a strong conceptual thinker, capable of capturing the essence of an ad campaign in a single, irresistible positioning line. An advertising copywriter/creative director for 30 years, I have created a broad array of copy/concepts for more than 200 national, regional and local clients — including BASF, Boston Gas, Cains, Connecticare, McDonald's, Gillette, Fidelity Investments, the Museum of Fine Arts/Boston, Near East Foods, New Balance, the New England Aquarium, NYNEX, Polaroid and Ragu. My range encompasses print ads, television commercials, radio spots, video scripts, positioning lines, product/service names, Internet banner ads, Web copy, direct mail, brochures, annual reports, advertorials, blogging, and trade articles for both consumer and business-to-business clients. My work has won several hundred major international, national and regional awards, including numerous Communication Arts, Clio, One Show, Andy, New York Art Directors Club, Hatch and London International Awards.In addition to my advertising career, I have licensed numerous concepts for calendars, greeting cards and t-shirts. Among my successes is an offbeat 2007 wall calendar called Sumo Day Jobs, featuring sumo wrestlers in unlikely professions such as rock star, figure skater, dog trainer, and umpire. In the spring of 2007, I launched Jewish FunnyBone, a line of funny, irreverent, provocative Jewish greeting cards. My first novel — Roll Over, Hitler! — won the Silver Medal for Popular Fiction at the 2011 Independent Publisher Book Awards and also received an Honorable Mention in General Fiction at 2011 New England Book Festival Awards.
