Assay Development and Screening-Biochemistry (fluorescence, fluorescence polarization, absorbance based HTS)-High-Throughput Mass Spec (MALDI and RFMS)-SPR-Radioligand Binding-Cell-Based Functional Assays for GPCRs-Dual-Hybridization Assays

• Supervise all aspects of MSIs DDS business (projected 2016 revenues > $1 million)• Manage Ph.D. level scientists in their day-to-day activities as well as make project initiation and completion plans.• Perform introductory as well as follow-up teleconferences with clients to prepare them for running projects with MSI and delivering data to them when the projects are complete.• Primary responsibility was to develop assays for the direct determination of ligands binding to proteins of interest.• Developed assays utilizing back-scattering interferometry (BSI)• Developed assays using purified proteins, both soluble and detergent solubilized membrane proteins, as well as crude membrane fractions, tissue homogenates (brain, liver, kidney, etc.), membrane proteins in nanodiscs and amphipols.• Work directly with clients around the globe to ensure project success.• Work collaboratively with other scientists at MSI to further the development of new chip surfaces and constantly improve the technology.
