The Disability Advisory Panel provides knowledge on issues that are important to people with disabilities in Auckland in relation to the council's regional strategies, policies, plans and bylaws. This includes initiating and contributing to the 'big picture' conversations about Auckland's development now and in the future.I served two terms with the panel, the second as Deputy Chair.

Overseeing delivery of Paralympic Events and Content and relationships with Paralympics NZ, the International Paralympic Committee and key individual Paralympic organisations, as General Manager of AttitudeLive who are the rights holders for Paralympics in the New Zealand territory.Specific Responsibilities:- Editorial responsibility for all content, video and written, posted on the platform- Editorial responsibility for all Social Media posts- All technical aspects of the day to day delivery of AttitudeLive and associated social media assets - Management of initiatives to grow AttitudeLive audience- Analytic reports as required to CEO and Advisory Board- The relationship with and management of developers and other external vendors- Day to day management and development of all staff assigned to work on AttitudeLive and the relationship with Attitude programme staff where contribution to AttitudeLive is appropriate- The on-going development of AttitudeLive including - Content Strategy – campaigns, MiniDocs, related content, Attitude Awards - Technical and Design elements - Subscribers and Viewer engagement - Sponsors and/or Advertising- Relationships with and development of Content Partners and any other disability content related entities- Develop increased international profile through worldwide blog contributions and non NZ content- Development of presentations to potential sponsors and advertisers and, where contracts are secured, management of the deliverables of any agreements - Management of AttitudeLive Budget, reporting monthly to CEO on financial performance

A major project we achieved less than 6 months post launch was securing the broadcast rights for the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games. Part of the team who produced the most comprehensive Paralympic coverage ever screened in NZ, including Live Streaming 50+ hours of content. I was one of 7 people on the ground producing content, which included reporting from the field.My core role with AttitudeLive.com is overseeing site maintenance & development, as well as producing & publishing content. Launched a new web platform to host award-winning documentary content about people living with disabilities. My role during the incubation of AttitudeLive.com was officially Video Producer... but the reality of being part of a small team that took an idea from concept to launch was putting in long hours covering a variety of tasks and roles.A time where I learnt a lot of new skills, along with a whole new culture, as I transitioned from television broadcast to web based work. An intense, but extremely exciting period of my life...

A good starting point in the broadcast industry after finishing my degree and travelling extensively. A brilliant learning opportunity, and great to be using all the theory I'd learned at University to help create real, tangible products.
