My senior design team was tasked with creating a gait aid for Parkinson's patients, specifically to overcome "freezing of gait." I was the primary designer and developer for our solution, an iOS application that places objects in augmented reality to help initiate walking for Parkinson's patients. It also includes auditory and vibration metronome-like cues that also have been shown to help in walking. This project was featured in Rice News and was awarded 2nd place in the 2018 Johns Hopkins University Healthcare Design Competition -- Health App/Information Technology Division.

Optimized an image-detection algorithm for identifying and labelling white blood cells in blood samples for low resource settings. Changes particularly geared towards accommodating imperfect images.
