To achieve anything on a meaningful scale requires leadership, but more importantly collaboration & teamwork. To achieve this sort of action we must mobilize people. To mobilize people, we must inspire them. When we inspire people, everyone is invested in the goal and a true team is born, whether it be a small catchment group or an entire community. I firmly believe in the power of shared strengths and values, and from this inspiring others to action to address the challenges we all face, and create the future we all want.I currently lead a specialist consultancy providing land use and environmental strategy to New Zealand's Primary Sector. Our core purpose & mission is to be more than just practitioners, but enablers of leadership among the people we work with by recognizing their values & strengths, as well as their ability to inspire others and mobilize entire communities to effect change on a meaningful scale. We do this by formulating a clear & robust vision for the future that helps give certainty & a way forward that our clients can be confident in. Right now, we're very engaged with farmers around this, but we also work with government, industry organisations, research institutions & schools.I have an academic background in Landscape Architecture & Ecology, as well as several years' experience with local government on community-led environmental restoration projects & environmental regulation, and a family background in high country farming with integrated conservation & tourism.
