The design process has always excited me. Going from a simple idea and developing it into something real, something tangible and effective is a truly exhilarating experience. Creating an experience that helps and improves human life brings me the most joy. Human centred design is integral to innovating the correct solutions. Focusing on people and what they need makes the design effective in human life and in the commercial market.Cat Naps. This project focused on the manufacturing process. Understanding how the parts would be made, their cost, lead times and profit margins. All of the internal parts were designed to gain a true understanding of the manufacturing process.Amazon Echo Display. Working with Arno allowed me to gain real industry experience and understand what they expect and how high their standards are. We considered how the retail world needs to adapt to entice and interact with its customers to have a more enjoyable shopping experience.Footman James Dash Cam. Understanding the brands core values and beliefs was imperative to this project. The visual language of the design was lead and developed entirely based on these values and beliefs so that it is consistent with their current customer base.Design for 2050. Looking at future technologies and human behaviours to understand what human needs will be in 30 years time. Understanding these emerging behaviours and designing to address them will help to make the design last longer in the market.
