Over my time on the Local Government team I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Councils to give them their own competitive edge and champion initiatives focussed on making these Authorities more sustainable, more accessible and more efficient when dealing with Citizen requests from the initial point of contact right through to the resolved outcome.I fully understand the cost and time constraints that Councils face and work with teams within both Softcat and the Councils to ensure their investment is optimised to avoid poor investment and time wasted. Within my role as a Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) Team Leader I have learnt the skills relevant to people management. From spotting the right individual with the right talent through to onboarding them and integrating them within their respective teams. It is down to me to recruit new starters within the Public Sector Team in the South Coast Office and ensure they develop the right skills to become top account managers focussed on becoming an expert in the Softcat Portfolio, fully understanding their customer base, delivering unrivalled levels of customer service and embodying the industry leading Softcat Culture.
