After spending most of my undergraduate years doing research in a laboratory setting, I started my career in research and development focused on energy efficiency in the oil & gas industry. During that time I obtained a PE, a masters in energy engineering, and went on to lead a team focusing on special projects related to gas storage.5 years into that career I left the industry and have since focused on residential and commercial energy efficiency compliance and design. I've done a little bit of everything and have experience with chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and even structural and civil engineering. I consider myself a lifelong learner. When I'm not working, I enjoy staying active. You can usually find me on a bike or running. I enjoy ultra distance cycling, ultra trail running, Ironman triathlon, and endurance sports in general.
