As a kid, I used to love Legos and building anything I wanted from a set of blocks (and never following the instructions). I feel like my team's recent work has been following a similar path as we've been focused on building atomic, simple micro services hosted in Azure and then assembling them together in different ways to solve a broad set of real user scenarios. Recently, i've come to appreciate how simplicity, performance, data quality, and live site health are all key engineering characteristics that form the foundation for any successful service at scale, not to mention the great engineering teams that build them!
