Partnered with global business teams including Legal, Compliance, IT, Client On-boarding and Operational Risk Management for buy in and advice. Project was completed within 3 months and effectively tested prior to industry go live. Process was scrutinized as part quarterly audit review.Remediated 14,000+ collateral agreements by removing inconsistent account static and populating prevailing contractual agreement terms. Directed weekly meetings with business teams and management to discuss current process, performance gaps and agree follow up actions to restore operational integrity. With approval and buy in from stakeholders, mobilized plan by collaborating with global peers to resolve all collateral agreement issues. Work was delegated to 8 resources and completed within 9 weeks. As a result, a key metric showed 20% reduction in collateral disputes and restored client relationships.Created detailed Risk Appetite Statements for US Collateral Management team. Independently consulted with global peers and senior management to formulate company’s risk appetite, measures taken to mitigate risk, monitor and review activities and escalation of breach to effectively manage core operational process within established limits. The project was completed within a very tight timeframe (i.e. 2 weeks) and delegated to me with minimal guidance.

As subject matter expert, trained and developed local and offshore staff to perform their roles with proficiency. Involved in ISDA / CSA negotiations with clients, Legal and Credit teams. Developed and implemented EOD risk reporting detailing margin disputes, collateral fails and dispute resolution. Product coverage included Equities, Rates, Credit, FX and Commodities.Projects included:Collaborated with project managers and international peers to design process maps for Global Collateral Operations. Shared knowledge and insight of current operational processes providing a high level view for senior management. The project was completed in 4 weeks and supported decisions to offshore certain tasks and processes to India as well as provided a front-to-back view of UBS’ trading businesses and various touch points. Collaborated with global peers and IT to help implement a new global collateral platform incorporating straight through processing and increased productivity 30%. This involved engaging IT and global teams to scrutinize current collateral processes, provide business specifications to automate workflow and increase straight through processing capabilities. With buy in from global teams and input from IT, management agreed to proposed business process transformation. Project was completed in 4 months, on schedule and within budget.
