Since my first exposure to a broadcast related field I have participated in tremendous technological shift such as analog to digital video, analog to digital broadcast and standard definition to high definition. Throughout this time period I have been a part of many engineering teams that have sought creativity and cost efficiency while still finding ways to provide the highest quality product. I have fulfilled the role of manager, supervisor, engineer and technician. In these roles I have developed my skills in leadership and technical expertise to a level that allows me to participate in many different aspects of the television world. Having built and supported live events such as several days of a live newscast on the road, political convention coverage, telethons, sports team celebrations, many new sets and new control rooms, I have proven myself able to meet deadlines and last minute changes in objective.Currently serving as Chief Engineer at WILX I have the privilege of leading a team that is dedicated to improving and modernizing our technical status to a worthy position of the news leader in mid-Michigan. As we continue to implement new system and work flows it is allowing all areas of the station to test their own limits with news production and coverage, promotional opportunities and even sales effectiveness.
