About Daniel Dale

I am a machine learning engineer currently pursuing open-source ML research and framework development. As the author and primary maintainer of an ML research package (Fine-Tuning Scheduler) and frequent contributor to some of the most widely used packages in the ML engineering community (e.g. PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning), I complement my independent and collaborative ML research experience with applied ML framework engineering expertise. In my previous professional roles, I developed and applied a breadth of experience and depth of expertise in the distributed systems and database domains. While I am currently pursuing several ML research projects, I anticipate synthesizing my prior domain expertise and applied ML engineering knowledge in a professional context in the future. Perpetually craving new technical challenge, my professional focus is at the intersection of ML-driven predictive analytics, data engineering, distributed systems infrastructure and ML engineering. A scientific background has inculcated me with an empirical approach to architecting and modeling the systems for which I have been responsible in both my individual contributor and architectural leadership capacities. Technical prowess, leadership experience, an insatiable hunger for knowledge and ability to rapidly integrate new information make me well suited for positions requiring technical aptitude and agility to be complemented by adept leadership and communication.

Listed skills include Databases, Oracle, Sql, Linux, and 23 others.
