Senior Solutions Engineer
Completed migration to Data Center versions of Atlassian products after licensing changes after analyzing and rejecting cloud offerings. Worked with networking teams to integrate and implement round-robin load balancing, session stapling, SSL decryption, and logging and monitoring to Splunk and Palo Alto Wildfire on Atlassian and other Java-based enterprise applications (Alfresco, Talend, etc.)Coordinated efforts across these applications to address security vulnerabilities that cropped up (Log4J, 15+ CVEs) and deploy immediate upgrades or mitigations.Converted and centralized all IAM systems for 15K+ users, selected and deployed cloud-based authentication tied to legacy on-prem credentials. Developed an industry-first public API utilizing Confluence hooks to host IEEE and WNF specifications and metadata.Assisted in migration from Bitbucket/Stash to Gitlab, after proofing out integrations between the two deployments. Designed and implemented cross-cloud/-platform container platform to host both business critical custom applications and early-stage hardware-specific code base for the Cable industry. At departure, was hosting 300+ application stacks with zero-touch IaC on a hybrid cloud deployment.Evangelized and trained developers on 'shift left' security principals, unit testing, pipelines, virtualization, and general CI/CD principles. Average deployment times reduced by ~65%. 'It works on my machine' reduced by100%.Developed multiple API endpoints using the Loopback framework and led company-wide datalake efforts with ETL and integration processes. Primary POC for data security and governance.Consistently recognized internally and externally for quality of messaging to both technical and management teams, training materials, research, and architecture planning.
