In addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and a Certificate in Project Management, I have over twenty years of experience working with differently abled individuals in various educational, vocational and recreational settings. My career serving those living with mental and physical disabilities began in 2001 at a youth residential treatment facility in Jackson, Wyoming. This initial experience was a complete immersion into the difficulties that people living with disabilities face in their day to day lives. While employed with the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) for nine years, I had the opportunity to provide vocational counseling and guidance to numerous clients dealing with a variety of disabilities. Through my employment with DVR and now AtWork, I have gained valuable insight into successfully placing highly qualified job candidates. I am also knowledgeable about what is required to ensure the ongoing job stability and growth of employees living with and without disabilities. I have firsthand experience with all the stages of the employment cycle; from vocational assessment and goal development to job placement and retention.
