I am currently responsible for the Salesforce implementation / support team, Infrastructure team, Telephony team, Change delivery team and a team of developers focused on integration between Salesforce and other internal / external systems.We have so far launched SalesCoud and ServiceCloud to our Sales and Vetting operations (~200 users) and are now focused on moving the rest of our operation away from our internally developed CRM. We have integrated SalesCloud with a billing engine (Zuora) and are now currently migrating our existing membership. We have integrated ServiceCloud with a number of external systems to automate our vetting process leading to a decrease in cost to vet of 50% and a sizable decrease in time to vet. We intend to complete our CRM transformation by the end of FY2022.

I was recruited to help grow the internal development team (4 at point of hire) to help the business become less dependent on an external development team. When I changed focus to our Salesforce implementation, we had over 30 developers.I am involved heavily in strategy and was responsible for our Secured Contact Number initiative. We deliver almost 50,000,000 directories per year and every advert now uses one of our telephone numbers. Not only does this system provide us with ROI information for our members, but it also allows us to continually protect the consumer. If a member leaves, their telephone number is diverted to our team who will help put the consumer in touch with a fully vetted member. We now route calls through over 150,000 telephone numbers.I was a key part of the team that worked on due diligence and a new business plan leading to our founder completing a significant exit.

As part of a partnership with Fusion People, I was responsible for providing software and infrastructure strategy for a 400 staff operation in India. This would involve regular travel and working closely with some of the UK supporting teams. Along with a Director, I helped create our outsourced Payroll Operation and personally on boarded our first few clients. This involved integrating our systems with a variety of recruitment CRMs.

I was initially recruited to produce a report on the existing IT team after some concerns were raised by shareholders. As a result of a resignation, I was asked to stay and help improve the IT service delivery and save a failed bespoke development project (2 years in the making). New developers needed to be hired and it was decided by the board that a new project should be started. This was successfully built from the existing requirements and delivered within 12 months. The product remains in use today.I agreed to extend my notice period to help support the business in moving development and maintenance of this system to an outsourced provider that I had previously worked with.

A Vertical Leap ‘boomerang’, Dan first joined us in 2005. He left to pursue an opportunity with a major recruitment organisation, where he continued to grow his programming skill set, also gaining Microsoft qualifications. He returned to vertical Leap in October 2010 to take up a new position as Technology and Innovations Manager, primarily focusing on driving Apollo (our bespoke campaign management tool) forwards.

I was responsible for the development of all internal and external systems, as well as representing Development (from the UK) on a global project. This involved worked closely with colleagues in Australia and India.
