Experienced manager with strong engineering background. Particular experience in data platforms and data application. I'm especially good at growing and structuring organizations. I currently lead engineering for the demand-side platform at Moloco. I'm also responsible for our nascent leadership development training and culture building efforts.Prior to Moloco, I led the Data Division at SoFi, a fast-growing fintech with a bank charter aiming to be a one-stop financial institution meeting all our members' needs. We undertook a large data warehouse modernization and migration using Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Monte Carlo, Stemma, and Tableau. We also established a Data Products group responsible for data engineering with a plan to expand into data science and data analysis at well.Prior to SoFi, I spent the majority of my career at Google. My biggest "claim to fame" at Google is having spent seven years helping to build Dremel (http://research.google.com/pubs/pub36632.html) into the "go to" data analysis tool at Google and ultimately into BigQuery, a major differentiator in Google's Cloud Platform. Later I founded the Data Analytics UI (DAUI) team to consolidate ownership of the user interfaces for the various GCP Data Analytics products. I also started and led the Enterprise Data Warehouse Migration and BigQuery Administration teams. My passion is helping our customers to be successful on our platform while providing rewarding growth opportunities for the folks on my teams.Specialties:Team BuildingHiringVery Large Data Processing™AnalysisSQL EvaluationC++ DevelopmentProject ManagementRelationship Building
