Josh Collins of Pro West Engineering contacted me to originally consult on the production of a seminar that would be used in an instructional DVD series. The footage consisted of roughly 32 hours of a two-camera recording of a seminar given by Pro West Engineering. I was later brought in to manage the project to completion, performing the edit and prepping it to be burned on DVDs. Creative Services Production Manager

Kmvt

I was a content marketing project manager, producer, and creator in what was arguably the largest creative services department at a commercial broadcast television station in Idaho: three High Definition NLEs, two HD field acquisition rigs (camera, support, lights, sound), two studios, a vehicle, and an audio booth. We did everything from simple spot tags to complete commercial campaigns. Team collaboration played a huge role there in the creation of effective marketing videos, television commercials, and web-videos to market our advertiser's products or services. Our production team and sales department collaborated together with the goal of producing creative spots that could be ready to air quickly. As a working manager I was responsible for overseeing station production, and for completing as many projects as anyone else: shooting, editing, directing, script-writing, voicing, and graphics creation were all in a day's work. I scheduled our working resources, our NLEs, camera rigs, audio booth, studios and vehicle. I also administered to nine NLEs; the three in our department and six others throughout the building, and managed an ever-expanding field-footage library of 15 terabytes. Accomplishments• Created client-agile scheduling by moving the production schedule to the web (2007)• Provided production for KMVT’s first TCP/IP (internet) remote broadcast (2011)• Produced about 3,000 projects - commercials and on-air program elements

Feb 2007 - Apr 2014

Owner/Operator

Dv Transport

I started my own trucking company. I had no experience, just an itch to do something on my own. The company was not unsuccessful, but I discovered how much I appreciated my homelife.Accomplishments:• Learned to drive a big rig, and drove over 250,000 miles with no accidents.

Oct 2004 - Nov 2006

Production Manager

Kmvt

Starting here as Assistant Production Manager, I was promoted to Production Department Manager in September, 2002. I collaborated with our sales and production teams to create and produce program elements and commercials. I was responsible for scheduling an NLE suite, an A/B Roll suite, two field cameras, a vehicle, and a studio.Accomplishments:• Awarded "Best Commercial Single" (2000-2001) by Idaho State Broadcaster's Association.• Edited “A Magical Valley Christmas” 1999• Produced over 3,200 projects - commercials and programming elements (July ’98-Sept. ’04)

Jul 1998 - Sep 2004

Video Editor

Kski Media Group

KSKI Media Group (also known as E-Da-Hoe) was a small radio station with a handful of LPTV (low-power television) licenses. We used Adobe Premiere there, but Media100 was the preferred platform. I edited everything from half-hour TV shows to five minute local feature ads and thirty-second commercials for our local ‘Resort Sports Network’ affiliates. I also was Technical Director for a 3-camera simulcast for the KSKI radio morning show and Director of a weekly news-magazine half hour, shot and produced by students in Mr. Thode's tech class at Wood River elementary. On a weekly basis, I produced commercial insertion tapes weekly that ran on a total of ten different cable channels throughout the state. And I introduced backups into our NLE workflow, amassing a considerable DLT library that would let us return and revise a client's work at will.Accomplishments:• Technical Director for KSKI Radio daily morning show 3 camera television simulcast.• Produced biweekly “5B” newsmagazine half-hour show• Produced and edited monthly half-hour real estate show• Created and implemented an effective NLE projects backup system.
