About Dan D.

Dan dedicates his time to educating others and inspiring people to follow their passion and create their own path to success. With over 20 years of finance experience, Dan identified the growing problem of college inflation as early as 2001 and recognized that it would create financial pressure on middle and low-income Americans. As he worked with clients over the years, he saw that the conversation about the value of higher education was changing, and he didn't see an effective solution to the issue. Determined to be the change he wanted to see, he founded foundingAUSTIN as a tool for parents and young entrepreneurs to reference and learn from the paths of others who had paved the way.During this process, Dan also recognized that the process in which people found their identity and purpose was broken. Too many people were guiding their young adult children to go to college to "find themselves," and putting too much emphasis on the college degree as a source of identity. This approach was no longer sustainable, and Dan believed that it was more important to find oneself before investing in college. Using media as a powerful map, along with powerful analytics and AI, Dan created the founding_up vision to empower the youth to find their identity prior to getting the skills needed for a career or profession.Host of Masters and Founders podcast, publisher of foundingAUSTIN magazine and founder of founding_media podcast network, Dan is using media to create new access to information, education, and support across industries in order to help individuals hone in on their passions and target their personal path towards success."Studies show that a happy brain is engaged, motivated, and productive.
