As an adviser and past board member I continue to believe in and support the growth of the ICE Program. The privilege of serving as Dir of Development, Programs and Events for ten years was enriching in so many ways. My role in helping grow key fundraising events such as the Brent Seabrook Celebrity ICE Bowl in conjunction with the Chicago Blackhawks brought me new experiences and friends. Serving Chicago area underprivileged youth with education and hockey programs is ICE's mission. One that continues to expand through the support of Blackhawks Charities and the generous support of individuals, grants and corporations that seek growing opportunities for the youth we serve. These kids, to spite some really tough circumstances are a real pleasure to serve.

As a strategic account leader I learned the business objectives behind incentive travel, global meeting, individual recognition and loyalty programs and building and shepherding those solutions for clients. Often collaborating with corporate executives on the purpose and goals of a program then effectively disseminating this to our team of planners and technology specialists ensures we drive to outcomes that provide sales lift, brand engagement, loyalty and employee retention.

Built a boutique planning firm helping national associations navigate hotel negotiation, sourcing of meetings, driving engagement and responsible budget management. With a set of hotel veterans we built accelerated partnerships with hotels to ensure maximum value in the negotiated agreements and smooth planning of events. Programs operated from 20 persons to 650.

Led the sales, marketing, conference planning and catering teams (16 staff) of the iconic, luxury Chicago hotel featuring 700 rooms and just under 70,000 feet of function space. Fostered a collaborative, energetic and positive work environment as a senior leader resulting in leading performance in rate, occupancy, client satisfaction and employee engagement & retention in the highly competitive downtown Chicago market. The Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, which has reclaimed the city skyline as a beacon of modern design, following a dramatic $50 million transformation is the benchmark of modern luxury and sophistication for Chicago hotels.

Opening sales leader for a new Chicago hotel entering the competitive business travel and meetings market in the River North downtown neighborhood. Built a high performing team of group, business travel and catering sales to build brand recognition and gaining market share from established local competitors. Developed new methods and roles to exceed growth and retention goals.
