With over 20 years of work experience in various sectors, I have developed core competencies in disaster recovery, homeland security, law enforcement, healthcare staffing, and civic leadership. I am passionate about coordinating and mobilizing resources to address the needs and resilience of disaster-impacted communities and healthcare systems. As the Vice Chairman of the Los Angeles Region Community Recovery Organization (LARCRO), I work with a diverse team of stakeholders to implement the mission and vision of the organization. As a healthcare executive, I lead efforts to resolve nursing shortages. As a City Planning Commissioner, I act as an advisor to elected officials in all development issues presented to the City of Ontario. As a Deputy Sheriff, I address crime, public safety, and quality of life issues affecting Los Angeles County residents.In my current role, I oversee the planning, development, and execution of disaster recovery programs and projects, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations. I also cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with public and private entities, such as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the City of Ontario, and Care Staffing Professionals. I leverage my skills in communication, social networking, and editorial to raise awareness and advocacy for disaster recovery issues and solutions, community resilience, and grassroots self-reliance. Additionally, I contribute to the academic and professional discourse on disaster recovery, law enforcement, and homeland security through my publications, certifications, and board memberships.
