I provide ongoing consultancy on strategy and operations to a Devon-based community organisation which provides support to parents of children with metal health issues. I have recently undertaken a substantial project involving the due diligence for a B2B fine art company acquisition, including financial and operational analysis and taking full oversight of all HR considerations such as the TUPE process. ➢ Building Business from Freelance Consultancy to International Distribution ➢Following a period of consultancy with US electronics manufacturer Oreck, I was invited by executives within the company to take on management of the UK business. I brought the business into profitability within 6 months of leadership. Customer service was brought in-house with bespoke new call centre software implemented, capitalising on the existing, experienced staff available. Supplier contracts were renegotiated or terminated to ensure the best deals were in place. Customer credit controls were strengthened and automated to streamline and optimise processes. Finally, focused marketing strategies were developed leveraging the existing 1M+ customer database held. Bringing the Oreck distributorship into my own consulting company in October 2001, I maintained the profitability consistently over 13 years of leadership.Developing the business further, I personally designed a complete bespoke database and software system for Integrity to allow for distance selling, linking into the website and streamlining operations. I effectively managed customer service and public relations strategy for Oreck, ensuring a positive public-facing presentation and engaging media content across social media/Internet, telesales, direct mail catalogues, off-the-page advertising, and DRTV.
