As the title would suggest, the role is multifaceted and involves the provision of Access Consulting and advocacy services, as well as developing, applying for, and managing grant funded projects/programs.

I'm currently leading an advocacy campaign for Inclusive Tourism. The campaign aims to influence all levels of Government and peak tourism bodies to improve their support for making tourism activities and opportunities more accessible, along with building awareness amongst tourism operators of the benefits of increasing inclusion in their offerings. I have been fortunate enough to have travelled to many parts of Australia and the world. As a person with disability however, my experience as an “end user” in the tourism industry has left me with a passion for making it more inclusive/accessible for people with disability.

As Director and Access Consultant at Inclusive Access Solutions, I specialise in the provision of comprehensive, detailed, and concise access audits and appraisals that assess the accessibility of facilities against the Australian Disability (Access to Premises – Buildings) Standards, the Australian Standards (AS1428 series), and the Building Code of Australia (BCA).

PCYC Queensland's Grants Unit Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring that the grant-funding goals of the Association are achieved.
