About Dane Leblanc
Hi, I'm Daniel (but everyone calls me Dane)! With a little bit of sadness and a whole lot of excitement I have recently made the decision to leave my 13-year-long career as a Physics Teacher behind and pursue a new path in software development. This shift has allowed me to exercise my love of learning in new ways as now I am the student applying the same problem-solving tactics I have instilled in my classrooms. I soon hope to find the right opportunity to bring my newfound programming talents along with excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate even the most challenging concepts effectively and efficiently into the tech industry. • Built the Stargate High School physics program from scratch and taught the first-ever physics classes at this charter school for gifted & talented students. • Expanded the curriculum to four levels of physics courses including Honors, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C (Mechanics and Electricity/Magnetism combined into one year). • In 2020, 100% of Stargate students passed both AP Physics C exams (with a 3 or higher) as opposed to the state average of 82.1% for Mechanics and 75.8% for E&M. • Also in 2020, 85.7% of Stargate students passed the AP Physics 1 exam (with a 3 or higher) as opposed to the state average of 48.9%.• Stargate High School is ranked one of the top high schools in Colorado.
