I served as the General Manager for the Historic Inns of Annapolis Starbucks franchise, where I doubled the revenue of my location in my first two months on the job and created the Excel-based Master Inventory Tool (MIT) to streamline ordering and vendor management to reduce waste. I was flown out by the parent company, Remington, to work on a second Starbucks franchise location at the Hilton Hotel in Fort Worth, TX, for two weeks in January 2010, to implement the MIT and train staff. I was subsequently offered a position by Sherri Joseph to see if I could successfully implement my business model independent of a corporation with the opening of Birdie's Cafe in Westminster, MD.

Worked on the ADAPT online resource for infrastructure projects to gauge climate change variables, environmental impact, and relevant conditions. Primarily engaged in data entry, editing, and basic excel programming to streamline the project toward implementation.

Managed personal account relationships for a branch bank. Closed sales with financial products including interest bearing accounts, home equity loans, and business financing. Focused on community centric business practices, made myself available outside of typical bank hours for clients with special project needs, participated in community events representing our bank, and was highly active outside of work in the community I served.

Quickly went from entry level to department supervisor for Newsstand, and in that first month reduced a very high 8% shrink rate to under 1% and then served on a district wide loss prevention committee to consult at other locations to implement standards and methods. I subsequently served as a Bargain and Cash Operations Lead.
