I have recently returned to the D.C. metro area after living in Taiwan for several years studying Mandarin and working as an English editor. Through my job at the Department of Defense I have professional research experience working with large quantitative data sets, counter-terrorism issues, governance, and network analysis. For my M.A. coursework I focused on Chinese/Taiwanese politics and society, especially social unrest and youth concerns towards employment, marriage, and political agency.I am currently looking for work where I can best use my quantitative research, East Asian area studies or political science background.
