Provide over the phone and in person technical training and support for the MarCor catalog of dialysis water reverse osmosis systems. Coordinate with multiple departments and disciplines within Cantel (MarCor) to provide resolutions to technical problems within clinics, hospitals, and labs supporting dialysis treatments around the world.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop a portable sorbent based dialysis system. Collaborate with team member to develop test methods, establish specifications, and carryout testing. Responsible for driving development of and reporting of testing pertaining to dynamic critical/high risk aspects of the project. Developed the scaled sorbent testing system used for characterization of sorbent components. Contributed to intellectual properties throughout the project, key in meeting the specified requirements for final product. Participated in and lead meetings to update various administrative groups on aspects of the project pertaining to the work being performed. Coordinated with multiple groups to prioritize workload to meet project timeline objectives and adjusted to accommodate changes.

Provide a wide range of inpatient pharmaceutical services throughout the Regions Hospital facility. Preparations of I.V. admixture solutions include epidurals, dialysis, chemotherapy, TPN and general I.V. drip solutions. All solutions are prepared in an ISO certified environment according to USP <797> requirements. Preparative processes included needle and needless approaches using ‘first air’ sterile technique. Routinely took part in routine sterile technique testing and sampling to ensure that all preparations do not present a hazard to the patient and compounder. These included environmental sampling of ISO Class 5, 7, and 8 areas of the compounding facility. Adherence to specific gowning techniques is required to enter the compounding area for IV preparation. Each technician is required to undergo scheduled routine sterile preparation testing using test media to perform a number of designated manipulations without producing a positive growth indication. Many on demand preparations require in person delivery of the prepared solution to the requesting departments throughout the hospital. Assist in stock control by taking inventory of stock, checking for outdated materials, preparing orders for various supplies and performing monthly station checks as assigned. Daily stocking responsibilities require use of CareFusion Pyxis MedStation systems and supporting software including Epic Hyperspace healthcare software. Inventory management duties require a strong understanding of Pyxis Parx and CII safe systems. Maintain records in compliance with legal requirements, department policies and procedures. Answer the telephone in assigned areas and refers calls to the appropriate person or location.

Responsible for providing intellectual problem solving solutions and advanced level instrument support services to customer of the Instrument Service Group (I.S.G), including external clients, laboratory supervisors within the Pace environmental lab system, and co-workers of the I.S.G needing problem solving techniques beyond their capability. Daily duties include instrument preventative maintenance, performance testing, and protocol development. All activities require adherence to GLP, cGMP, and ISO standards throughout daily duties. Serviced instrumentation coverers a wide range but not limited to, pharmaceutical and materials testing applications and procedures.

Provide patient facing services while fulfilling operational responsibilities in timely and effective manner. Patient services include greeting each patient and qualifying what services they require. Customer services include but are not limited to answering phone calls, maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA standards, and providing a high degree of customer satisfaction through working in tandem with the pharmacy team. Operations work include compliance with all federal and state laws, maintaining CVS workflow procedures while processing prescriptions, and making sure that inventory is maintained such that all upcoming prescriptions will be filled in a timely and effective manner.

Receive final products from the protein purification department. Assign part and lot numbers. Conduct quality control tests on the products to include but not limited to: concentration determination (A280/E280, Coomassie Stain “Bradford”, Lowry), SDS PAGE (Coomassie Stain and Silver stain methods), Isoenzyme Development and Gel Electrophoresis, Western blotting, Colormetric Endotoxin assay. Analysis of concentration and endotoxin assays are carried out on spectral analyzers using SpectraMax software. Gel and Blot analysis/Imaging is carried out using densitometers utilizing Quantity One software. Support customer service by providing pertinent information and by working with manager to design new lab procedures to alleviate problems/complaints. Assist in training new employees and improving lab protocols. Prepared reagents for above assays and buffers for protein suspensions as needed. Throughout the above procedures maintained GLP/cGMP practices as required by specific product line specifications. Worked on personal projects, to better understand and possibly resolve, special case difficulties in characterizing cytokine products.

Conducted customer facing sales transactions in which the customers’ needs had to be determined and the best device selected. Along with sales general technical and account support was provided to the customer, anything from paying a bill to device/service problems. Additionally, regular meetings were held in which general operating procedural problems were addressed and communicated through a group setting.

Performed multiple duties for the company which included home theater on site technical support and installation, in store inventory tracking/delegation, and in store sales/consulting. Maintained communication between technicians and management along with project conceptualization and production in a small team setting.
