Dane Peterson is an experienced executive with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence in health care. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas. Children’s Health is the leading pediatric health care system in North Texas and has long been recognized as a national leader in pediatric health. As COO, Dane provides leadership for clinical operations to ensure that we are delivering consistent, comprehensive care throughout our system to fulfill Children’s Health mission of making life better for children. He also works closely with Children’s Health academic partner, UT Southwestern to integrate physician leadership and deepen their collaboration to offer world-class care informed by groundbreaking research and education.Before Children’s Health, Dane spent more than 15 years at Emory Healthcare, most recently as Interim CEO. He brings expertise in hospital systems and academic health institutions, having held numerous leadership roles at the system and hospital levels, including system President and COO. In addition, his background at Medical City Dallas Hospital, Inc. and Tenet Healthcare Corporation gave him a comprehensive understanding of the complex dynamics within the health care industry.Dane’s foundation in engineering and manufacturing from earlier roles at Ford Motor Company and Hatch Stamping Company, LLC provides a unique problem-solving perspective.
