I did this while managing turnover rates, economic order quantities, and target stocking levels, as determined by business needs. This was achieved through promoting and executing effective buying habits by minimizing inventory on hand, maximizing turn rates, and meeting required fill levels. All of this, based on the utilization of Epicor ERP software, which is used to establish appropriate order points, line points, service levels, and demand estimates by using extrapolated data. In addition, it was my duty to establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and their representatives. This encouraged open communication and allowed for an environment favorable to negotiating best possible pricing, terms, shipping, and rebates. This also allowed for a level of ease when resolving inventory or pricing discrepancies, and tracking of back orders from vendors.In this role, it was also imperative that I communicated effectively with warehouse personnel to ensure receipt of proper materials, inventory counts, and reporting. I also worked directly with salespeople to ensure customers received the proper materials in timely, economic fashion.
