In my primary position, I manage 200+ staff whose primary function is the development, implementation and support of software applications to support Oregon Health Authority and Department of Human Services’ service delivery functions (some of which are revenue-generating). Supporting a peer IT Director who was deployed to a large IT project, I have also simultaneously served as an acting IT Director to another 180 staff who support enterprise services such as the DHS/OHA network, collaborative communications (email, mobile devices, instant messaging, etc.), the OIS Service Desk, Desktop Support and other central services.As a member of executive management, I lead section goal-setting (both long and short-term), planning and budget preparation and administration. For the enterprise, I participate through our executive team to establish and implement IT goals, plans and operational decisions to support business IT strategic direction. I participate in budget development and management, legislative analysis and response, development of policies, standards and rules, evaluate OIS program effectiveness through the tracking of performance metrics, provide vendor management and champion workforce development.I consult with many customers and on many projects to facilitate reaching desired outcomes, quality and value. I review application and network architecture to ensure reliable, secure and standards-compliant service delivery.

I managed, coordinated and provided vision and guidance to units that supported revenue-generating data center web services, including web hosting, mail list services, content management, secure server certificates, secure file transport, graphic and web design and consulting on statewide and customer web projects, policies and strategies. I managed the California State Web Portal and California’s annual Best of the Web project to regular award-winning success. I was responsible for section goals, plans, performance, budget preparation and administration and managing vendor resources and relationships.
