During the Graduate program, Amka gives me the unique experience of getting to learn the industry from the inside. Amka allows me to work from and for the different creative agencies that the company uses, as well as introducing me to different aspects of the company, including sales, key account management, strategy, planning, and (most importantly) marketing.

As a tutor for Team Tutor, I helped five students with their language courses at school. I tutored the subjects of Afrikaans and English, to students in grade 3, grade 5 and a matric student. Part of being a tutor involved creating lesson plans, setting up tests, and helping the students expand their knowledge. Team Tutor offers the unique opportunity of working remote, meaning that I had full control of my time schedule, but that I also had a lot of administrative duties- including the sending of lesson plans, time schedules, tests and homework to the students and their families. We used the rooms platform and I definitely improved my online presenting skills.
