I was a server at the Seasons 52 on the Country Club Plaza. I always loved meeting new people and helping create a unique and memorable experience for them. I think to be a good server you must have the ability to work hard regardless of the circumstances and have a genuine curiosity for people. I'll be honest. This was one of my favorite jobs.

I have spoken several times in their communications department for their entry level public speaking courses. I have been invited by David VanBebber who achieved his masters at Missouri State. I was brought in to explain narrative theory and how utilizing that theory as well as different cultural texts you can become a more effective speaker. I share.

Bolivar, Missouri

I oversaw the hiring of every intramural sport at Southwest Baptist University. Soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, and dodgeball respectively. I was in charge of writing the rules for these leagues and holding captains meetings answering questions about the leagues as well as getting every team signed in for the different divisions inside of.

Coordinated with other summer staff to facilitate evening games for the hundreds of campers each week. Attempted to create energy and excitement before the games and evening event. Generally acted ridiculous to bond with students and had a great time doing it. Made up songs, created skits, organized incredible belly flop contests. Regularly led meetings.

Weekly led Bible Studies for a cabin of high school guys. Meeting one on one with each student getting to know their story and listening to them. Most students rarely are heard. Only when they've been listened to will they begin to listen. Worked with a great team of college aged students that loved students as much as I did and it was an honor serving.
