The Director of Direct Response is responsible for taking a lead role in the overall strategy, day-to-day implementation, integration and management of a large and sophisticated direct response program, raising over $18 million annually. The director supervises all the aspects of direct mail, telemarketing, canvass, sustaining gifts, and member services, including but not limited to overseeing the management of external vendor partners and campaign production, the internal approval processes and inter-departmental relations, mid-level giving invitations, aspects of data management as they relate to direct response marketing, the director acts as primary staff on the budgeting process working alongside finance team, monitoring program revenue and expenses, analyzing and interpreting program results to consistently innovate and improve performance.

Responsible for all revenue generating programs including major and planned gifts, corporate and foundation relations, special events, and direct and online marketing. GLSEN has a $7 million revenue budget which grew more then 20 percent during my tenure.

I worked with the Human Rights Campaign for more than 11 years in various capacities including Deputy Development Director for Direct Marketing & Director of Annual Giving before becoming the Online Strategy Director. In this position, I helped build one of the most successful online advocacy and fundraising programs in the nonprofit industry and acquired more than 1 million online donors and constituents.
