- Responsible for R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality including equipment/software acquisitions- Designed Gunwerks’ first rifle system – receiver, bolt, bedding block, bottom metal, trigger guard, scope rings, rifle stock- Organized shop production through process mapping, time studies, value stream mapping, lean and six sigma methods, etc. to cut production lead times from 6-8 weeks down to 3 weeks- Facilitated the roll out of an ERP/MRP system- Designed new facilities and plant layouts including business offices, production facility, shipping/receiving, and indoor/outdoor gun range- Standardized production processes and methods for repeatable accuracy using engineering drawings, process studies, equipment calibration, fixturing, manufacturing, cell layout, etc., all new concepts for Gunwerks

- Wrote business plans to procure $1.4 million in funding- Managed the RAS-12 project timeline, deadlines, budget, labor usage, etc.- Responsible for all aspects of sourcing and supply chain including COGS and price negotiations- Designed the first functioning, all polymer shotshell capable of being fired in rapid succession as part of the RAS-12 project (Rimless Automatic Shotgun) turning the decades old dream of an all polymer into a reality in less than 3 months- Established a machine assisted manual assembly line for production of the RAS-12 Ammo- Designed an automated assembly process for high scale production

- Established an ISO Quality Management System for a multi-site company within BAE Systems, Inc.- Wrote bids for solicitation for military contracts and directed Design Verification Testing, FAT, and LAT- Innovated new and effective quality programs to drive quality culture to the entire organization- Took on plant management vacancy responsibilities- Established Gage Calibration instructions and conducted Gage R&R studies- Established internal and external supplier quality programs to drive quality responsibility upstream

- Responsible for driving product cost reductions and quality improvements through product design/redesign, strategic sourcing, and manufacturing process improvements- Engineered new products using flow, simulation, stress and strength analysis, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)- Used knowledge of proper manufacturing techniques to save a multi-million dollar contract that was in jeopardy due to product quality and performance issues- Acted as project manager for simultaneous projects including a multi-million dollar, 5 year military contract awarded because of integral design changes I made to the product through root cause analysis, DOE, and measurement analysis- Suggested process, equipment, and tooling changes and sourced/acquired capital equipment

- Redesigned a medical bracket system using SolidWorks to consolidate many single use products (21) into a smaller family (5) of multi-use products; sourced a different, more optimum process for making the brackets that reduced inventory and part cost- Mapped processes to analyze and improve the value stream according to lean manufacturing principles- Conducted Lean training for all employees in the company- Upheld ISO 13485 medical standards in all my work- Tested products and processes for manufacturability, user experience, functionality, etc.

- Ran the entire machine in between machine shop managers, programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to keep products and business moving without interruption
