Operations Assistant
Current- Serves as a critical resource for regional managers, providing solutions and guidance for complex issues while remaining in compliance with Department of Correction policies.- Trains up to 20 commissary staff members per site on company procedures and systems, which includes Kronos, KCN, Microsoft Office, and Oracle software.- Provides employee feedback and coaching, schedules working hours, audits timesheets, and handlesinmate grievances related to employee performance.- Streamlines retail operations by utilizing advanced Excel functions for inventory management, reducingstock discrepancies and inmate theft by 30%.- Optimized product assortment for inmate purchasing.- Utilizes KCN software to process inmate transactions. Successfully implemented an automated Excelfile and record-keeping system for reporting transaction data to the Department of Corrections accountingoffice, reducing employee manual errors in tracking and dating products.- Completes 40 hours of annual training in Institutional Familiarization, including CPR, First Aid,Fraternization, Strategic Planning, and Emergency Preparedness.- Accomplishments & Projects: Led initiatives to boost employee retention by 20% through targetedprofessional development, personalized recognition programs, and real-time feedbackadjustments. Facilitated training for six managers and three assistant managers during tenure.
