I hold two Bachelor's degrees from Olivet Nazarene University (BA in English/Philosophy and Religion (2013) and BS in Accounting (2020)) where I also worked for seven years. I have experience both with administrative duties as well as several years in customer service. While I appreciate being on the front lines and love interacting with complete strangers, I often find that the customer service experience is dependent primarily on work done behind-the-scenes. I chose the field of accounting not only for its marketability, but because of my love for organization and structure. The users of the financial statement are not just external stakeholders but the very ones inside companies who can affect change and improve the customer service experience. If I can provide them with the tools they need to make informed decisions and help a business succeed, I am a happier person.
