About Danette J. Ross Watson
I am a Distinguished Credentialed Mediator and have been mediating for over 25 years with have an extensive background as a mediator, negotiator, facilitator and consultant. I also trained in and I am proficient in conflict coaching, shuttle mediation, problem-solving, conciliation, conflict assessment and as a trainer in said processes. I enjoy coaching and mentoring new mediators and have worked in many areas of conflict resolution including personal injury mediation, case management, team-building, community and family mediation, and conflict skills training.In October 2019 I founded and I am now the Executive Director of the West Texas Community Mediation Center (WTXCMC). Our vision is to promote a conflict-free community. We hope to provide attendance/truancy mediation to the school districts of Howard County and the surrounding areas; as well as provide conflict management classes with a focus on family/domestic violence issues, and other conflict management processes.I am a former employee of the FEMA ADR Cadre as an ADR Reservist from July 20-Aug 21. In January 1999 I founded and continue my professional mediation practice through Solomon’s Way ADR Services (Solomon’s Way) wherein I provide family, domestic, conflict management, group facilitation, public policy facilitation, workplace and EEO mediation services to various state and federal agencies as a contractor and subcontractor, namely; Texas District Parole and Probation Offices, Child Protective Services, USPS REDRESS program, TSA, USDA, SSA, VA and others as assigned or referred. Additionally, I lend my expertise as an Advisor with Instant Mediations, a platform for online mediators; and as a member of the Texas Association of Hostage Negotiators after I completed training while working as a counselor with GEO Corrections in Big Spring, Texas. Additionally, I am a certified mediator/assessor for the Maryland Council for Dispute Resolution (MCDR), since 2002, I continue to assist with the important work of the MCDR Certification Committee’s performance-based certification process and assessor training to assess the best practices of other mediators. The conflict resolution field, especially mediation has contributed immensely to my life being abundantly blessed!
