Briggs and Stratton are the worlds largest manufacturer of small combustion engines. Work at the Australasian Design Centre is primarily focused on commercial product design of outdoor power equipment and tools. Key Achievements Include:• Design/Technical lead for the ground up redesign, retooling, testing, certification and manufacture of Australia's #1 selling lawn mower platform.• Project lead responsible for managing engineering and production resources in 4 countries to deliver approximately 100,000 products anally into multiple global regions in accordance with all local and international standards.• Demonstrated initiative through establishing and managing an internship program to overcome a lack of resources in the engineering department and ensure project deadlines were met.• Overhauled outdated engineering/quality documentation systems embedded in the NPD processes to increase the efficiency of the department.

Key Achievements:•Demonstrated initiative by developing in-house infusion molding process and capabilities. This advanced manufacturing technique expanded the capacity of the Helimods engineering team by allowing for increased composite design complexity.•Project lead responsible for the design, development and manufacture of a variety of items for emergency response helicopters including: a utility medical ceiling, cockpit egress provisions, supplemental restraint systems and a control unit console using Seimens PLM software.•Eliminated reliance on products with extensive lead times by utilising advanced reverse engineering methods in conjunction with 3D scanning platforms. This developed the means to fabricate a range of components in house.
