I am a Technician with 23 years of professional experience in maintaining infrastructure, both company serving and customer serving networks. 15 years in NOC environments and 8 years hands-on in the field, though I’m very interested in returning to my natural environment of an operations center. I have frequently served as a subject matter expert on various systems and composed job aid documents and articles for the workgroup. In my NOC position and in my home lab, I have built servers on various platforms, maintained their access to the network, and diagnosed software, hardware, and physical links to serve everything from virtualization to Web presence, to remote Secure Shell, File Transfer, and Virtual Network Computing for desktop access. I recently gained CompTIA Security+ certification, after a lifelong interest in networking security starting in the early 90’s keeping up with blogs, journals, quarterlies, and other outlets for information and news on new concepts and analysis of long-existing matters.
