At Genea, I've been responsible for rearchitecting our 15 year old legacy system into the 21st century. Leveraging the Microsoft stack, I've moved our ASP.NET WebForms system to Web API, MVC, and Angular 7+ and integrated a microservice architecture for scale and maintainability. I was brought into Enver to complete and update an existing in-house system. With Enver's exponential growth, we're often in the position of "just run with it and make it work." After a successful launch, I was given the opportunity to rewrite 100% of the software under an impossible deadline. The result is a very scalable and flexible system that allows for almost unlimited extensibility and increased development productivity 10 fold. Tasks that previously took all day(s) to complete have been condensed to hours or even minutes. This light, simple framework was completed in less than a month from DB to UI and everything between.

I managed many aspects of Rakuten's e-Commerce website with emphasis on account management and checkout flow. Some of my responsibilities were-Work with an Agile team to enhance user experience-Integrate new payment methods for both in-house processing as well as 3rd-party integration-Integrated Rakuten's branded credit card approval process in cunjunction with First National Bank of Omaha-Collaborate with team members to streamline development within TFS as well as set document standards to minimize project conflict-Created an MVC framework using a service-oriented architecture and dependency injection to decouple various aspects of our systems for simple reuse and segregation.-Worked with my team members to understand not only how the architecture works, but to understand why various approaches and practices were put into play.I had the pleasure of working with some brilliant developers and business owners while employed at Rakuten.
