I joined the team at Bradken in the very early stages of the Digital Innovation Program.My role was Building and Managing the Digital Innovation Program to deliver innovative technology products to some of the biggest resource companies in the world.I established an R&D Program and Product roadmap to deliver digital solutions for Mining & Resources, leveraging the development of cutting-edge technologies that improve safety and efficiency for large- scale projects.The program included:- Developing a range of IoT hardware to gather data from the field, data warehousing, reporting and dashboards to provide real-time monitoring of customers' heavy equipment and consumables.- Strategic planning of human resources to fulfil the product roadmap.- Team recruitment and management, both internally and contractor based.- Negotiating commercials and architectural integration of the platform with Tier 1 Mining Companies. - Developed the Cyber Security Strategy and roadmap to ISO27001 certification.- Navigating the patent landscape and identifying opportunities to patent relevant technology.- Identifying market opportunities, product development planning, human resource planning, establishing a team with core competencies, and building specialist vendor partnerships and customer relationships for new and innovative solutions.- Implementing product development processes that integrated with internationally based cross- functional teams.

Kegit was a startup I founded from an opportunity to improve the logistics of keg fleet management in the rise of the craft beer market. As a solo founder, I took Kegit through a corporate accelerator Slingshot - Lion Unleashed, established the company brand, raised initial investment and secured government funding for the MVP of the first product. I also developed a patented industrially rugged design to improve the efficiency of deployment and management to enterprise keg fleets. Building relationships and a reputation within the beer industry as an expert in technology and logistics was also a key part of the journey. Connecting with the biggest brewing groups in the world and gaining insights into key logistical areas where Kegit could produce a market-leading product.

From scoping business processes, recommending and implementing scalable solutions and ensuring change management for maximum positive impact and confident day-to-day use of solutions for the entire team.For a larger business, I provide strategy, advice and project management of systems from scope, design, implementation, change management and training. As a side project based on friendly enjoyment of a casual pub special, Pub Grub Hub was born after a few mates wanted an easy way to find local specials an support local pubs.Pub Grub Hub is a digital media platform that provides pubs, hotels and bars an easy to use solution to advertising and promoting food menu items and specials to the digital world.

I started The Inventory Guys as a specialist SaaS implementation consultancy, focusing on implementing cloud-based ERP for B2B and e-commerce businesses. This included the scope and design of solutions for clients, project management of the implementation, training the client's team and supporting them through go-live. Change management of the team played a critical role in the success of projects, clients were often transitioning from manual legacy based systems and processes to integrated, SaaS solutions with a lot of automation possible.To ensure successful implementations, I established partner relationships for expertise in design, branding, custom software development, website development, and IT services. Clients included FMCG e-commerce with international distribution networks, fashion, various producer wholesalers, brewing and industrial manufacturers.

Doughheads is a Newcastle-based cafe specialising in handcrafted gourmet doughnuts. We founded Doughheads out of a passion for creating fun, enjoyable gourmet experiences, taking something simple and making it extraordinary.What started as a side project for weekends quickly turned into a full-time operation with 3 locations and a team of over 25.I exited the business in 2017.

I joined the team in a full-time capacity as the Operations manager.Being part of the vibrant Doughheads team meant getting my hands dirty and putting in the effort with whatever was required each day. From joining the first barrister team, doing deliveries, running market stalls or occasionally being a 'dish pig', it was all part of being a hands-on leader.On a management level, the business was growing at a rate that was hard to keep up with. I had a very active role in getting systems and processes developed to enable the team to perform with quality to match the great product and reputation that Doughheads had created.Management achievements at Doughheads included:Implementation of systems that reduce admin time and increase business efficiency. Milkjam was the weekend side project that started my own business journey.From market stalls and events to confectionary labels and eventually to Doughheads cafe.Milkjam taught me the value of having a go and backing it up with some hard work can turn an idea into great results.

Your Modern Practice was a new business in the early days of SaaS technology; I took on the first full-time team member role. This included being the principal business analyst, project manager, general manager and business development. The role included scope, design, implementation and support of SaaS solutions for business, particularly in the Xero ecosystem. Solutions regularly implemented included SaaS based ERP, HRM, POS, Practice Management and General Ledger systems (Xero).Constent learning and analysis of new-to-market and emerging SaaS products to ensure delivery of “best in class” options for clients.Project management and coordinating various parties throughout the implementations were key to the success of this role. I was also responsible for establishing partner networks with technology providers and building a referral network for ongoing business growth.

Network Engineer/IT Consultant to SMBs.Designing, implementing and supporting IT solutions to the SMB market, predominantly in NSW.My time at Strategic Group included:5 years as part of a team that developed and supported a cloud infrastructure as a service product, the first of its kind in Australia.Design, implementation and support of private cloud solutions for SMBs throughout Australia. Extensive support of accounting practice solutions both onsite and private cloud.Managing the implementation of projects in excess of $150k in value, including scheduling, client and vendor coordination and ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of projects.
