During my undergraduate degree, I primarily worked as a bar manager. I was involved in the day-to-day operations and logistics that come with managing different hotels in the Blue Mountains region. I have gained further experience through Maximum Adventure, being part of a team managing large-scale events throughout NSW. At the end of 2020, I worked with Western Sydney University to create an array of tutorials to help guide students in the School of Psychology to create their own online experimental studies.In October 2020, I completed my Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), completing a research paper that looked at the effect of blinking on our perception of time. Due to COVID-19, I developed a new research method that integrated webcam recording into the experiment design to allow for post hoc extraction of blink data. Through my Honours degree, I gained further training in statistical analysis, along with experimental research design experience and an introduction to both Python and JavaScript programming languages.In 2021, I began my Ph.D. Candidature, exploring the "Effects of Virtual and Augmented Reality on Cognitive Load and Stress" at Western Sydney University. I am primarily using pupillometry to explore the possible applications of pupil dilation as an indicator of cognitive load.
