• Responsible for overall technical product support and comprehensive repair of assigned fleets e.g. battery electric, fuel cell, hybrid, trolley bus. This includes but is not limited to, in-field service support for bus deliveries to customers, in-field technical investigation with suppliers on component issues, maintaining logs on technical issues, management and completion of retrofit requirements, warranty situations, gathering product failure information and training/team leadership of New Flyer or contracted personnel• Responsible for on-site support to Regional Product Support Manager (RPSM), Service Manager and customer during acceptance process of new vehicle deliveries. Assist with project planning for acceptance of bus deliveries within fifteen days of arrival on-site, by resolving defects, expediting/managing parts shipping logistics and performing daily Post-Delivery Inspection (PDI)• Create and update weekly meeting architecture with customers and third party vendors regarding all open issues and planning for newly discovered issues• Gather, organize and communicate information through regular technical summary reports to assist the RPSM, Service Manager, Regional Director and if applicable, Technical Service Specialist team with technical knowledge of the transit product, general information on product reliability and field technical issues• Support RPSM, Service Manager and Regional Director to ensure Instruction to Service (ITS) retrofits and other field repairs are implemented promptly and properly. Provide team leadership through the coordination of the necessary resources to accomplish results and oversee New Flyer or contracted personnel as required to execute field technician oversight and technical investigations

• Oversaw daily shop operations e.g. vendor payment dispersal, parts inventory management and quoted repair estimates• Performed vehicle diagnostics, repairs e.g. maintenance, engine overhaul and follow-up consultation• Experienced with ALLDATA information systems, and various internet repair assistance sources• Maintained smog test and repair station; Performed driveability diagnostics/repairs to pass state emission testing• Assisted with Low Income Repair Assistance Program (LIRAP/CAP)

• Performed scheduled maintenance and general repair e.g. tires, brakes, lubricants, clutch and transmission service

• Performed complete restoration, building & repairs on vintage race vehicles and machine shop duties such as engine build e.g. block preparation, assembly and blueprinting, cylinder head preparation and transmission rebuilding; installation of proper safety equipment, according to racing class specifications, wiring harness construction and installation of test equipment to optimize efficiency
