Hello! My name is Monica (she/her) and I am currently a P3 pharmacy student attending OSU/OHSU pharmacy program. I graduated from OSU with a Bachelors of Science in BioHealth Sciences with a Medical Humanities Certificate. During my four years at OSU I had the opportunity to obtain the roles of BeaverConnect student mentor, COS peer advisor, and Vice President of the BioHealth Sciences club. Through these positions, I have worked with students and faculty members from various ethnicities and backgrounds which has allowed me to build and improve a large skillset. As a first generation college student, child of immigrant parents, and suicide survivor, I hope to advocate for those silently suffering, and to mend the gap between mental health and ethnic beliefs. With my communication, teamwork, and empathy skills I’ve gathered as a pharmacy technician and CNA, I aim to make healthcare more accessible and equitable.
