I'm a full-stack software developer, having previously worked for over a decade as a professor of classical music. I was intrigued by the power and simplicity of code and made the switch to computer programming in the Spring of 2020. It's been a blast. My background in music performance allowed me to develop a series of skills that I currently use in programming; my project management, troubleshooting, time management, and detailing are all greatly informed by my career as a musician. Similarly, working in education taught me communication, public speaking, leadership, and clear thinking -- all of which I use on a regular basis as a programmer.
