I have been a professional sportswriter for over 30 years. I have worked full-time in the field for over 14 years, including a seven-month stint as a sports editor. Currently, I am a freelance sportswriter while I search for full-time employment in the journalism field. I have worked full-time in the medical cannabis industry for the past year and really enjoy it. I have links to four dailies and three weeklies as a freelancer, along with one (now defunct) Web site, and another daily could be on the horizon. I have also been a professional drummer since 2013 and play with tributes to Iron Maiden (Maiden America), Black Sabbath (Wall of Sleep) and Dio (The Mob Rules). I am an avid sports fan (especially Cleveland-area teams, specifically football). I contributed weekly coverage of the Lake Erie Crushers professional baseball team, along with high school sports for The Press' five area high schools (three Avon Lake, two North Ridgeville) and West Life's seven area high schools. My position was eliminated due to budget cuts.
